... Candidates urged to check JAMB portal and respond within 24 hours of notification
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) management has released an important update to all candidates who applied for admission into the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. V. Abosede Wickliffe, some applicants who did not meet the official cut-off marks for their initial courses have been reassigned to alternative programmes within the university.
The statement, dated Saturday, October 25, 2025, explained that affected candidates are required to check their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portals from Monday, October 27, 2025, to either ACCEPT or REJECT the new courses offered to them through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). The university stressed that the acceptance or rejection must be completed within 24 hours of receiving the CAPS notification to ensure smooth admission processing.
The management warned that failure to take action within the stipulated time frame will automatically result in the forfeiture of the admission offer. All applicants are therefore strongly advised to visit their CAPS regularly and respond promptly to any admission update.
